SharePoint Number column

Integer or decimal numbers. Binds to Number, Slider, Rating.

The Number column stores integers or decimals. The column configuration controls minimum/maximum and the number of decimal places displayed in list views, SharePoint Forms365 inherits these via schema reconciliation but lets author overrides win.

Edge cases

  • Percentage columns, SP stores percentages as decimals (0.15 for 15%); the runtime handles the conversion when the field's percentage property is true.
  • Floating-point precision, for money, use the dedicated Currency column.
