SharePoint Choice column

Single-select from a fixed list. The list is on the column; schema reconciliation keeps the form in sync.

The Choice column stores a single value picked from a fixed list. The list of values is defined on the column itself; SharePoint Forms365's

schema reconciliation re-derives the options on every form load, so adding a value in SharePoint shows up the next time a user opens the form.

Binds to Choice.

Write shape

Plain JS string matching one of the configured values.

Edge cases

  • Fill-in values, When the column has "Allow fill-in choices" enabled, the user can submit a value not in the list. The form respects this if the field's allowFillIn is left unset.
  • Renaming a choice value, Existing items keep the old value as plain text. SharePoint does not back-fill renames. If the form is set to validate against the list, those items will appear invalid until updated.
