SharePoint Boolean column (Yes/No)

A two-state column. Binds to the Boolean field.

The Boolean column (Yes/No in the SP UI) stores true, false, or null. Binds to Boolean.

JS boolean, true, false, or null.

Edge cases

  • Null vs false, These are distinct. null means "the user has not chosen"; false means "the user explicitly said No".
  • Default value, SP supports a column-level default. The form's defaultValue wins if set, otherwise the SP default applies on new forms.
